Blood pressure is the force of the blood pumping from the heart, as it contracts, against the arteries. This pressure makes blood flow possible. Our body cells, tissues, and organs need this blood flow to get their vital oxygen and nutrients to stay alive. There are two different types of blood pressure that we measure, Systolic and Diastolic.
Please note that diagnosis of high blood pressure must be confirmed with a medical professional. Consult with your doctor if you see any unusual blood pressure readings.
